About The Course
Every day we are bombarded with media content, whether it be on the TV news, radio, online, or print. Our brains are constantly having to process and filter messages about the world around us through images, videos, and words at a faster rate than ever before. Unfortunately, the speed that these technologies are evolving is much faster than our capacity to understand the effect they have on us, leading to an increase in mental health issues, addiction, extremism, and a lack of social cohesion.
In this course we are going to introduce some basic tools to help people engage with media mindfully, so that you can become empowered and balanced media-savvy citizens
